Job Description

RCL FOODS is on the search for an experienced HR Administrator to join the HR Team based in Krugersdorp. The role reports to the HR Business Partner and requires a resilient individual with strong analytical skills and great attention to detail. The purpose of the role is to provide day to day human resource administrative support and contribute to the long-term strategy of the HR function

Duties & Responsibilities

HR Administration and Reporting

Provide administrative support in the maintenance of employee records relating to contracts, remuneration, allowances, leave, training and performance appraisals and prepare associated management reports

Support in the accurate processing of leave taken in accordance with the leave policy

Maintain accurate records and maintenance on the T&A system (BESTime)

Provide support in the capturing of HR information and data into the relevant systems and assure the integrity of the data

Administer employee/study loan and bursary documentation

Liaise with payroll and distribute the payslips

Provide input into the monthly payroll reports and handle related queries

Process medical aid/fund entries and withdrawals

Process death and disability claim documents

Handle maternity, paternity, adoption, parental leave and all other leave administration and queries

Maintain the personnel filing system and safeguard the files and documentation

Administer the recording of absenteeism

Provide data for and compile HR reports on a weekly/monthly basis – some of the reports include the Overtime report, ER report, and Business Unit report

Answer all channelled HR administration-related queries from employees and managers in the business and ensure their resolution in accordance with service standards


Recruitment Administration

Provide all recruitment administration support for A and B appointments

Ensure all reference and criminal record checks are carried out fully and in a timely manner

Manage and lead the new joiner process from offer letter through to joining instructions and induction/on-boarding


Health and Safety Compliance

Ensure statutory compliance to OHS Act

Handle health, safety and IOD processes and queries


Talent Administration

Provide administrative support in the performance management system

Provide support in driving succession planning for the site


Employment Equity

Provide HR support and advice to employees and line managers, explaining policies and procedures in a timely and effective manner

Capture disciplinary records and personnel actions onto SAP

Provide HR support in investigations for disciplinary and grievance procedures

Distribute/disseminate policies and convey related communication

Prepare CCMA bundles and administrative support during conciliation and arbitration processes

Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar field
  • Valid Code EB drivers’ license
  • Strong administration skills
  • Exposure to SAP and BESTime advantageous
